ReStore Volunteers

Our ReStore sell quality new and gently-used renovation materials donated by manufacturers, renovators, contractors, builders and the general public. All items are sold at prices significantly below the original cost.

Profits from the ReStore cover 100% of Habitat for Humanity York Region’s administrative costs.

ReStore volunteers can assist with a number of different tasks involved with the preparation of materials for sale including testing and assembly, store merchandising, customer service, cashier and inventory managment.

To volunteer in a ReStore you must be able to:

•    Lift 30 lbs.
•    Commit to a weekly four hour shift for a minimum of three months
•    Attend an interview and trial shift
