Administrative Support Volunteer needed The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a self directed programme that encourages youth, aged 14 to 25, to set personal goals and then work to achieve them. The Award programme is about challenge. Students are encouraged to be active and participate in new activities. Along the way, you will learn about qualities like responsibility, trust, and the ability to plan and organize yourself. All you have to do is choose one activity that is of interest to you in each of the four areas of the programme: Community Service, Personal Skill Development, Physical Recreation, and Adventurous Journey. The programme is non-competitive. The criterion for gaining an Award is based on individual improvement. Upon completion, you will be recognized for your achievement with a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award. For Students aged 16 and older, volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity York Region ReStore is one way you can achieve your Community Service goals.
