Matching Gifts Program Would you like to see your gift to Habitat York doubled? Your employer/employees may be ready to help! The matching gift challenge is a great way for corporations and individuals to support Habitat York Region. Each donation from the community is matched usually dollar for dollar by the corporation or individual. By challenging the community with a matching gift campaign, each donor has the opportunity to realize that for every dollar that they donate, translates into $2 for the organization. A win-win for everyone! The amount of money generated by a matching gift program can be substantial in total but allows the opportunity to play a part appropriate to their charitable giving budget. It empowers donors to give what they can when they know that they are doubling the gifts to their favourite charity, with every dollar that they give. Follow these three easy steps:
Matching gift programs allow employees and employers to work together to improve affordable housing opportunities in their communities. More than 500 companies have such programs. To see if your employer is a matching gift company, please visit Matching Companies Listing. Work Place Campaign for Habitat York Consider a conducting a work place campaign for Habitat York. Staff can have the opportunity to designate their charitable gift through their work place campaign to provide Habitat Homes for families throughout York Region. With each donation per pay cheque, your employees will be making a difference for our families throughout York Region and Bradford West Gwillimbury. Habitat York can provide the charitable tax receipt for your employees if required (and not available on their T4’s) and thank you letter (pending our receipt of the donor’s information) and keep donors up to date with our newsletter and latest announcements.
