Habitat for Humanity York Region is building homes that provide decent, affordable housing for families in need in the communities of York Region and Bradford West Gwillimbury.

We build hope, working towards a time when each family in our community will have a home they can be proud to own.

We work together as partners with volunteers, prospective homeowners, businesses, and individual donors to build a stronger community in York Region.  We invite you to join our partnership in whatever capacity you are able.

We seek out partner families, people who are ready for the rewards and responsibilities of home ownership, but cannot afford a down-payment or the interest on a mortgage. They provide a minimum of 500 hours of work, on their own home, at another construction site, or in other community work. They make monthly payments on no-interest mortgages, over 20 to 30 years. The amount of the mortgage is based upon the cost to build the home.
