Founded in 1985, Habitat for Humanity Canada serves as a resource centre for affiliates across the country. There are 72 Habitat affiliates in all 10 provinces and two territories helping to eliminate poverty housing.  Over 50,000 Canadians volunteer their time with Habitat for Humanity Canada through one of its Affilate branches.

In 2010, Habitat for Humanity Canada is celebrating 25 years in Canada.  Check back often for information on celebration events and special projects.

Habitat for Humanity York Region is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity Canada, which is a member of Habitat for Humanity International – the largest not-for-profit home builder in the world.
